The 2013-2014 program year commences on July 1, 2013 and ends on June 30, 2014 for Metropolitan Water District's residential water rebate customers. There are important changes to the rebates, terms and conditions, please review this website and its pages carefully as several important updates have been made.
Starting at $75 per barrel. minimum size is 50 gallons. Collecting and re-using rainwater from gutters and downspouts for lawns and gardens minimizes the amount of water flowing into your storm drains, sewer systems and local waterways. Plants and microbes prefer rainwater because it is naturally "soft" and free of chlorine, fluoride and other chemicals.
Weather Based Irrigation Controllers
Automatically adjust irrigation schedule to acount for changing weather and plant types. Save over 13,500 gallons of water per year. Rebates start at $80/controller for less than an acre of landscape. $25/station for more than one acre.
Rotating Sprinkler Nozzles
Apply water more slowly and uniformly to prevent over-watering and encourage healthy plant growth. use 20% less water than conventional spray heads! Rebates start at $4/nozzle; minimum quantity is 15 nozzles.
High Efficiency Clothes Washers
Use 55% less water than standard clothes washers. less water means less energy needed for water heating, lowering your energy bill as well. Rebates start at $85 for washers purchased on or after June.
High Efficiency Toilets
Effective May 1, 2013 high efficiency toilet rebates are being offered, for a limited time, starting at $50.00 per toilet
